The information we collect
Contact form
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- The content of your message
We only use this information to respond to your enquiry and to communicate with you about it. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it for marketing purposes. The form also includes a hidden anti-spam field that is not stored or used to identify you.
Analytics and advertising
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are viewed) and, separately, Google advertising services to measure the performance of our ads and show you more relevant advertising. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information. Analytics data is used in aggregate to help us improve the website.
Our hosting provider may also process limited technical information such as your IP address and browser type in server logs for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies
On your first visit we show a cookie banner so you can choose which optional cookies to allow. We use Google Consent Mode v2: by default, analytics and advertising tags run in a restricted, cookieless mode and only store cookies once you opt in. Your choice is remembered as an essential preference in your browser’s local storage.
- Essential (always on): remembering your cookie choice so we don’t ask again.
- Analytics (optional): Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Advertising (optional): Google advertising cookies, used to measure our ad performance and personalise the advertising you see. Off unless you opt in.
You can change your choices at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Our lawful basis for using your data
- Responding to your enquiry: our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Analytics and advertising: your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the website and respond to you, who act on our instructions:
- Postmark — delivers your contact form enquiry to us by email.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides cookieless analytics.
- Google — provides Google Analytics and, where you consent, advertising measurement and personalisation.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where your data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent approved mechanisms.
How long we keep your data
We keep contact enquiries for as long as needed to deal with your message and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained in line with the provider’s standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
- Withdraw consent for analytics and advertising at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@foundation.london.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
